Commissioned for the celebration of Duke Pearson's life and contribution to Jazz, by the Atlanta Arts Fesitval. It starts with several chords before the band gets busy with the melody by trumpet and flutes and clarinets. In 3/4 it stomps off to establish a wicked groove. The piece has remnants of Duke Pearson without directly quoting him. Written and arranged by Cecil Bridgewater.
